The bird stands upon a thunderbolt or palm branch, rendered in strong relief with detailed feathering across the wings and body. A legend runs around the periphery of the field, with a date formula or regnal year indicated in the left field. The composition follows the standard Alexandrian tetradrachm reverse type associated with Neronian issues from Egypt.
