Obverse description Three togated Roman figures standing facing, the central figure slightly advanced with right arm raised; a Roman consular axe (fasces) is visible to the lower left, and a horizontal sceptre or staff runs across the lower field. The scene is rendered in a stylised Hellenistic manner consistent with the original Koson stater type. The legend ΚΟΣΩΝ appears in Greek characters along the lower exergual line, and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.

Reverse description An eagle with spread wings stands facing left upon a horizontal branch or perch, its head turned sharply to the left with beak open; the left talon grasps a radiate crown or wreath. The design closely follows the reverse type of the original Koson gold stater, attributed to a Dacian or Thracian ruler of the 1st century BC. The field is plain and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The word COPY appears in an oval cartouche at the base of the field, identifying this piece as a modern replica.
