Kamnik, a town in what is now Slovenia, was a significant medieval market center under the Counts of Andechs in the 12th and 13th centuries. This piece is a modern aluminum replica produced for the 2009 "Days of the Middle Ages" historical festival held there annually — an event recreating medieval trade, craft, and currency use rather than any official monetary issue.
