This is a replica, not a genuine issue. The authentic 2001 Britannia two-pound coin was struck by the Royal Mint in .958 fine silver, and the magnetic composition here immediately disqualifies it from being anything of the sort. Replicas of the Britannia series circulate widely in the souvenir and novelty trade, typically struck in base metal with magnetic steel cores.
