Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) occupying the central field, with elaborately curled long hair rendered in high relief. The portrait displays the king's characteristic angular profile with strong jawline and pronounced features typical of late Baroque medallic portraiture. The circular legend FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX runs along the upper periphery, separated from the milled border by a narrow rim. The overall style reflects the refined engraving tradition of the Prussian Royal Mint during the second half of the eighteenth century.
