Obverse description Enthroned effigy of King George III seated cross-legged in frontal pose, holding a falcon in his raised left hand while his right hand rests upon his hip. The figure is depicted wearing a crown, rendered in a flat, stylised medieval Georgian artistic tradition. Inscriptions in both Mkhedruli and Asomtavruli scripts appear in the coin field, incorporating a date expressed according to the Georgian paschal calendar cycle.
