| Obverse description | Crowned bust of King John II facing left, rendered in the crude, low-relief style typical of late medieval hammered billon coinage. The crown is depicted with prominent pellets and fleurs, surmounting the sovereign's effigy which is shown in profile. A circular Latin legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially obscured by the coin's irregular striking and significant wear. The overall execution reflects the modest artistic standards of small-denomination Sardinian coinage of the period. |
