Obverse description Facing enthroned figure of King Peter IV, crowned and robed in royal vestments, seated full-face upon a Gothic throne with lion-head armrests, holding a sceptre in the right hand and an orb in the left. A fleur-de-lis is visible to the left of the throne in the inner field. The composition is enclosed within a lobed Gothic arch or tressure, with the Latin legend running continuously around the outer border between beaded inner and outer circles.
