| Obverse description | Crowned facing bust of King Jaime III set within a quadrilobe (four-lobed Gothic frame), rendered in the medieval Aragonese style. The king is depicted with flowing hair falling to either side of his face, wearing a crown with prominent fleurons. Small rosette ornaments are placed in the spandrels between the lobes of the quadrilobe. The entire central design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by the Latin royal legend in Gothic lettering: + IACOB DEI GRA REX MAIORICAR. |
