Additional information

Jaime III's reign ended when his cousin Alfonso IV of Aragon invaded Majorca in 1343, annexing the kingdom outright. Jaime was stripped of his title and the independent Majorcan coinage ceased immediately — making the entire output of his nineteen-year reign a closed series with no continuation.

Cru#555 is among the more frequently encountered types from this reign, though survivors in clean condition are complicated by the silver's tendency toward granular surfaces from the island's minting practices.
