Obverse description Facing enthroned effigy of King Jaime III, crowned and robed, holding a sceptre in his right hand and an orb surmounted by a cross in his left hand, set within a multi-lobed Gothic inner frame decorated with small rosettes and pellets. The field displays small floral ornaments flanking the royal figure. The surrounding legend reads + IACOBUS DEI GRA REX MAIORICARUM, rendered in Gothic characters, separated from the inner frame by a beaded border and an outer milled rim.
