| Reverse description | At center, a quartered shield divided by a bold cross, displaying alternating castles and rampant lions representing the kingdoms of Castile and Leon, all contained within an ornate cusped octolobe frame with beaded inner border. The mint mark 'S' for Seville is visible in the field. The peripheral Latin legend, separated by a beaded border, runs around the full circumference of the irregular hammered flan, partially weak at the edges as is typical for this issue. |
