| Obverse description | Central field bears the crowned royal monogram of Enrique II — the letter 'E' surmounted by a prominent Gothic crown with fleur-de-lis finials — set within a beaded inner circle. An inner legend band separates the central device from the outer legend, both rendered in Gothic script. The monogram is boldly struck in high relief, characteristic of Castilian hammered silver coinage of the late 14th century. |
