| 背面描述 | A plain cross dividing the field into four quarters, with a pellet in the first and second quarters and three pellets in the third and fourth quarters. The legend is distributed around the cross within a beaded border, following the standard format for Crusader County of Tripoli deniers. The execution is crude and characteristic of hammered coinage of the period. |

Raymond II inherited Tripoli in 1137 following his father Pons's death in battle against the Damascene forces of Zengi, and his reign was defined by the mounting pressure of Zengid expansion into Crusader territory. He was one of the first Crusader rulers to cede castles directly to the Knights Hospitaller — a transfer of military burden that reshaped how the County defended its eastern frontier. His copper issues are among the smallest-denomination coinages of any Crusader state, produced for a local market already accustomed to Byzantine and Fatimid bronze in daily transactions.
