Obverse description Central oval cartouche bearing the arms of Zug — horizontally striped field — set within an elaborate baroque escutcheon with scrolled and foliate ornamental surround. A palm branch rises to the left of the shield and a laurel branch to the right, their stems flanking the base of the arms. The coin field is devoid of any legend, with the decorative border of the coin featuring a rope or beaded inner edge.

Reverse description Denomination and date displayed within an ornamental baroque cartouche formed by bold scrollwork and foliate flourishes. The numeral '1' appears above the word 'RAPEN' in large capital letters, with the date '1805' inscribed below in a matching serif typeface. A small decorative device appears above the numeral. The beaded or rope border surrounds the entire design, consistent with the obverse treatment.
