| 表面の説明 | The cantonal arms of Zug displayed within an oval beaded inner border: a horizontally divided shield bearing two wavy bars in the central division, characteristic of the Zug heraldic tradition, rendered in relief with bold, simple hammer-struck strokes. The shield is set within a plain oval frame, itself surrounded by a prominent outer border of large raised beads following the irregular circumference of the flan. The entire composition occupies the full face of this uniface bracteate, with no legend or inscription present in the field. |

Zug was among the smallest and least populous of the Swiss cantons, and its coinage output reflects that — this fractional issue spans fifteen years but almost certainly represents a modest total production. The HMZ 2-1001a attribution places it within a well-documented but sparsely surviving cantonal series; the Wüthrich collection reference suggests most known examples passed through a single major Swiss collection before dispersing into the market.
At 0.25 g, these were among the smallest silver pieces struck in early seventeenth-century Switzerland, prone to loss and damage in circulation. Survivors in any meaningful condition are genuinely scarce.
