Reverse description The reverse appears to be without a distinct design, presenting a flat or incuse surface consistent with the production method of thin hammered bracteate-style minor coinage of the period. The irregular flan shows the natural texture imparted by hand-hammering on a small silver blank. No legend, symbols, or secondary devices are discernible. The plain surface is bounded by the same beaded border visible on the obverse, suggesting a single-die strike or a very shallow counter-die was employed.
