Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Divus Vespasianus facing right, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The effigy displays the emperor's distinctive physiognomy with a broad, rounded head and strong features. The encircling legend reads DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS, identifying the deified emperor in the field around the bust. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of hammered silver quinarii of this period, with some flatness of strike visible on the portrait.
