Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the restrained, realistic portrait style characteristic of Flavian coinage. The effigy displays the emperor's distinctive physiognomy with strong facial features. The circular Latin legend runs along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular and somewhat ragged at the edges, consistent with hammered production of this small-denomination silver quinarius.
