| Obverse description | Laureate head of Titus facing right, depicted as Caesar under his father Vespasian's reign. The portrait displays the characteristic Flavian physiognomy with closely cropped hair rendered as a laurel wreath. The encircling Latin legend reads T CAESAR IMP VESPASIAN, identifying him as Titus Caesar Imperator Vespasianus. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of hammered quinarii of this period, with some areas of weak strike. The portrait style reflects the realistic, unidealized approach favored by Flavian die engravers at the Rome mint. |
