Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Domitian facing right, depicted with youthful features in the Flavian portrait style. The effigy shows the prince with a wreath of laurel leaves crowning his head, the neck and truncation visible at the coin's lower field. The surrounding legend, rendered in Latin capitals, identifies him as Caesar and son of the reigning Augustus. The portrait is rendered in moderate relief typical of Flavian quinarii, with visible die wear consistent with a hammered flan.
