Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style typical of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor's features are depicted with characteristic realism, the laurel wreath secured with a ribbon whose ties are visible at the nape of the neck. The bust is bare-shouldered and truncated at the base. The encircling legend runs clockwise from the lower left, divided around the portrait in the field.
