Obverse description Draped bust of Diva Marciana facing right, her hair elaborately coifed and adorned with a diadem or stephane, rendered in the refined court portrait style characteristic of Trajanic-era imperial coinage. The effigy is set within a plain field and enclosed by a border of beads. The circumferential legend reads DIVA AVGVSTA MARCIANA, distributed around the bust.

Reverse description An eagle, the traditional symbol of apotheosis and divine consecration in Roman imperial iconography, stands facing left with wings spread and head turned to the right, perched upon a low base or globe. The bird is rendered in bold relief with carefully detailed plumage. The encircling legend CONSECRATIO runs around the field within a border of beads, referencing the formal deification of Marciana decreed by Trajan following her death in AD 112.
