| Obverse lettering | PLOTINA AVG DIVI (Translation: Plotina Augusta Divi. [Pompeia] Plotina the venerable, [mother] of the divine [emperor].) |
| Reverse description | The goddess Vesta is depicted seated left on a high-backed throne, rendered in flowing drapery with a mural or turreted crown upon her head. In her extended right hand she holds a palladium — the small standing figure of Pallas Athena — and in her left hand a long vertical sceptre resting against her shoulder. The composition fills the field with dignified authority, and the encircling legend TRIANI PARTHICI arcs around the periphery, attributing the issue to the memory of Trajan, Conqueror of the Parthians. |
