In her extended right hand she holds a palladium — the small standing figure of Pallas Athena — and in her left hand a long vertical sceptre resting against her shoulder. The composition fills the field with dignified authority, and the encircling legend TRIANI PARTHICI arcs around the periphery, attributing the issue to the memory of Trajan, Conqueror of the Parthians. |
