| Reverse description | Central field depicts a standing frontal figure of Sant'Ansovino (San Ansovino), patron saint of Camerino, rendered in the simplified schematic style characteristic of small hammered billon coinage of the period. The saint is shown vested in episcopal robes, likely holding a pastoral attribute. The surrounding Latin legend S ANSOV NVS C A — an abbreviated invocation of the saint and the mint city — runs along the periphery within a beaded border. The irregular flan and weak strike in places are consistent with standard mid-sixteenth-century workshop production at Camerino. |
