Obverse description A stylized tree with spreading branches occupies the central field, rendered in a bold, somewhat crude hammered style typical of minor Italian Renaissance coinage. Three pellets appear in the lower field beneath the trunk. The circular legend CIVITAS SINIGALI runs around the periphery of the coin, partially obscured by the irregular flan edge. The overall design is characteristically rough in execution, consistent with provincial billon coinage of the period.
