| 裏面の説明 | The reverse depicts a standing Susquehannock warrior, reflecting the historical accounts describing members of this nation as exceptionally tall and imposing figures. The denomination 'QUARTER DOLLAR' appears as the upper legend, while 'SUSQUEHANNOCK TRIBES' and the date '2022' are inscribed in the lower field, all rendered in Latin script. |

The Native American Mint is a private commercial enterprise, not a federally chartered mint, and its products carry no legal tender status in the United States. Coins bearing its name are novelty strikes marketed to collectors, sometimes causing confusion with official U.S. Mint issues. The Susquehannock, an Iroquoian-speaking people once centered along the Susquehanna River, were effectively destroyed as a political entity by the late 17th century — caught between Haudenosaunee military pressure from the north and colonial violence from Maryland and Virginia.
Their appearance on a 2022 privately minted piece reflects a broader trend of commercial "tribute" coinage that has no connection to tribal governments or descendants.
