The Native American Mint is a private company, not a federally authorized mint, and its products carry no legal tender status in the United States. Issues like this one are novelty strikes sold to collectors, bearing no relationship to the U.S. Mint's sovereign coinage program or the Sacagawea-based Native American dollar series authorized by Congress in 2008.
