Obverse description Central design features a stylized bison skull facing forward, rendered in low relief against a dark field, flanked on either side by two decorated arrow motifs with geometric ornamentation. Below the skull, a teepee is depicted with additional symbolic crosses and lance or staff symbols arranged symmetrically in the field. The entire central composition is enclosed within a beaded inner border separated from the outer legend by a dotted ring. The circular legend JAMUL SOVEREIGN NATION runs along the upper periphery, while NATIVE INDIAN NATIONS IN AMERICA appears along the lower periphery, both in a runic-style Latin script with star and dot separators.

Reverse description The central field depicts two draped Native American figures resting in the shade beneath a large overhanging rocky formation, with a horse standing to their right and a leafy tree branch extending across the upper portion of the scene. The composition is rendered in detailed low relief with a naturalistic, pictorial style evoking traditional Plains Indian life. The arc legend ARAPAHO TRIBES 2022 curves along the upper portion of the field in a hand-lettered Latin script. The denomination QUARTER DOLLAR is inscribed in the lower exergue in matching stylized lettering. The border is decorated with a repeating geometric diamond pattern typical of Native American artistic tradition.
