Obverse description Central field bears the abbreviated legend COCO flanked by two five-pointed stars, referring to the Cocconato comital dynasty. The circular Latin legend around the periphery reads COM-RADICATE-COCO, identifying the issuing authority as the Count of Radicati and Cocconato. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered billon coinage of the late sixteenth century.
