Obverse description Central device consisting of the crowned arms of Tyrol — a quartered shield bearing the Tyrolean eagle — set within a stylized quatre-foil or lobate cartouche. The shield is surmounted by an imperial crown. The circular Latin legend reads + PIETAS AD OMNIA UTILIS ("Piety is useful for all things"), running along the coin's periphery. The design is executed in a bold, slightly naive provincial baroque style typical of the Hall Mint's small copper coinage of the early eighteenth century.
