| Obverse description | Obverse depicts a palm tree standing upright at center, rendered in low relief with characteristic frond branches splaying outward symmetrically from the trunk. The design is set within a plain field with the surrounding Latin legend distributed around the periphery. The palm tree type on Flavian quadrantes is associated with the Judaea Capta commemorative imagery following the Jewish War. The overall execution is typical of hammered bronze coinage of the early Flavian period, with an irregular flan and somewhat worn relief. |
