Obverse description Central device depicting a modius (grain measure) shown in three-quarter perspective, rendered with horizontal registers suggesting the vessel's banded construction; above the modius, a single grain ear projects upward. The design is set within a plain field, encircled by a beaded border. The circular legend around the periphery reads SISENNA GALVS IIIVIR, identifying the two moneyers Sisenna and Galus in their capacity as Triumviri Monetales. The lettering is bold and evenly spaced, consistent with Augustan mint practice.
