Reverse description The reverse depicts Mount Argaeus, the sacred volcanic mountain of Cappadocia, rendered as a rocky conical peak rising from a base adorned with globules, with vegetation and orbs surrounding its flanks. Atop the summit stands a small figure of Helios or a solar deity, arms outstretched, holding a globe or orb, evoking the divine and cosmological associations of the mountain sacred to the Cappadocian cult. The scene is enclosed within a beaded border, with the abbreviated consular legend disposed in the field on either side of the central device.
