Reverse description A round, circular shield (clipeus) depicted in the center of the field, shown as a concentric circular device with a central boss rendered as a raised dot at its hub. The Latin legend II VIR QVINQ is partially visible around the periphery of the flan, referencing the duoviri quinquennales, the senior magistrates responsible for issuing this coinage. The shield type is a common civic emblem on colonial bronzes of Hispania during the Augustan period. The flan is irregular with some surface patination typical of provincial bronze issues.
