背面描述 A horse or Pegasus depicted in vigorous gallop to the right, with outstretched wings rendered in bold, schematic strokes typical of Iberian bronze coinage. The figure conveys dynamic movement with forelegs extended and mane indicated by incised lines. Below the horse, an Iberian legend in the Levantine semi-syllabic script runs along the lower field, reading the mint name of the issuing community. The design occupies most of the flan, with minimal surrounding field.

附加信息

The Ausesken were an Iberian people settled in the region around modern Vic, in Catalonia, whose coinage output reflects the rapid monetization of northeastern Hispania following Roman consolidation after the Second Punic War. Roman administrative pressure pushed indigenous communities to adopt fractional bronze coinage to facilitate local taxation and market exchange — this quadrans belongs to that transitional moment, when Iberian civic identity was being expressed through coin production even as Roman economic structures were being imposed from above.
