| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare male head facing right, rendered in a robust Ibero-Hellenistic style with thick, curling locks of hair swept back from the face. The facial features are boldly modelled with a prominent nose and strong jaw characteristic of Hispano-Roman provincial coinage of the period. Three dolphins are disposed around the head in the field, serving as value marks indicative of the quadrans denomination. The overall style reflects the influence of Hellenistic artistic conventions adapted by local Iberian die-cutters. |
