Reverse description Central field bears a nasta'liq calligraphic legend in two lines identifying the mint city and its epithet, reading 'Tehran Dar al-Khilafa' with the AH regnal year 1274 below. The inscription is rendered in high-relief hammered style consistent with Qajar provincial mint practice. A partial dotted border traces the upper periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. The reverse layout follows the standard Type B format for Nasir al-Din Shah quarter-qiran issues struck at Tehran.
