| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse of this large Qi knife coin presents a plain, slightly concave blade surface defined by raised border ribs along the edges, mirroring the obverse framing. A single Chinese character 日 (Ri, meaning 'sun' or 'day') appears cast in relief in the field of the blade, interpreted as a control or mint mark. The shank and terminal ring on the reverse show the same casting seam lines visible on the obverse, consistent with piece-mold casting technique typical of Warring States bronze currency. The surface retains a stable dark patina with localised green cuprite and malachite deposits. |
