| 表面の説明 | Crudely struck, irregular flan bearing a heavily stylized Arabic legend in the field, arranged in two or three horizontal registers. The Shahada inscription occupies the central field in angular, archaic Kufic script, with individual letterforms heavily abbreviated and compressed to fit the small module. The surfaces display the characteristic granular texture of a hammered silver flan, with the legend partially weak at the irregular flan edges. No decorative border or marginal legend is present, consistent with the Qanhari damma series of early Islamic Sind. |

Mansur ibn Jumhur al-Kalbi governed Sind as an Umayyad appointee during a period of acute dynastic instability — his tenure overlapping almost exactly with the Abbasid revolution that destroyed the Umayyad caliphate in 750. Whether these fractional silver pieces continued striking after the Abbasid takeover, or were abandoned with the regime that authorized them, remains an open question in the numismatic record.
The "cf." qualifier against Album 1493 reflects genuine uncertainty: no clean type match has been established, and attribution rests on stylistic and regional inference rather than confirmed die correspondence.
