| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a bold Arabic inscription arranged in two lines, rendered in a primitive Kufic script characteristic of early Arab-Sind coinage. The lettering is deeply struck with broad, angular strokes typical of hammered silver issues of this period. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the periphery, with no formal border or decorative framing elements. The overall execution reflects the rudimentary die-cutting traditions of the Umayyad provincial administration in Sind during the mid-eighth century. |
