Obverse description Hammered copper flan of irregular round form bearing a multi-line Arabic-script legend filling the field, with the ruler's name and titles rendered in a bold, somewhat crude Naskh hand characteristic of Kashmir Sultanate coinage. The inscription identifies the issuing authority of Sultan Fath Shah, whose reign spanned 1483 to 1520. The lettering is arranged across the entire face without a defined border, and the flat, irregular flan results in partial legend weakness near the periphery. The overall style reflects the provincial hammered tradition of the Kashmir mint.
