| Beschrijving voorzijde | Peacock displayed in profile facing right, rendered in a stylized manner typical of Georgian hammered copper coinage of the early 18th century. The bird's tail feathers are spread and its body is depicted in low relief against a plain field. Three Georgian Mkhedruli script characters appear in the field, representing the abbreviation B-K-R, referring to King Bakar of Kartli. The design is characteristic of the crude but distinctive artistry of the Tiflis mint under Bakar II. |
