Obverse description Arabic legend in multiple lines occupying the central field, reading the mint and date formula denoting striking at Sygnaq in AH 737/838. The inscription is rendered in a angular, somewhat archaic hand consistent with Jochid copper coinage of the period. A partial border of pellets frames the legend along the right margin. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, typical of mass-produced base-metal issues of the White Horde.

Reverse description Anepigraphic type featuring a five-pointed star as the central device, with an optional pellet at the center and additional pellets placed between each of the arms. The star motif is boldly rendered in relief against an otherwise plain field. The design is enclosed by a border of dots encircling the entire flan. The reverse carries no inscription, the geometric star device serving as the sole identifying element of this issue type.
