Obverse description A stylized dog depicted in profile, facing either right or left depending on the die variety, rendered in bold relief within a dotted inner circle. The animal's body is executed in a schematic, almost heraldic manner characteristic of Golden Horde copper coinage of the mid-14th century. Pellets are scattered across the field around the figure, and a dotted border encircles the entire design.
