Obverse description Central field occupied by a stylized geometric or floral ornament executed in low relief, typical of anonymous Golden Horde copper puls of the late 14th century. The design consists of interlocking curvilinear motifs radiating from a central point, rendered in a schematic manner consistent with the die-cutting conventions of the Saray mint. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with the ornamental device partially off-center due to the hand-struck nature of the piece. The surface exhibits a dark green patina with areas of cuprite, consistent with long burial. No legend or inscription is present on this face.
