Obverse description Within a dotted border, a quadruped animal facing right, above which a stylized rising sun is depicted with three or four triangular rays emanating from it. An asterisk or small star device is placed to the right beneath the animal's head. The design is rendered in the characteristic crude hammered style typical of Golden Horde copper coinage of the mid-14th century.
