Obverse description Within a dotted border, the field depicts a quadruped animal facing right in a schematic, stylized rendering typical of Golden Horde copper coinage. A rayed solar disc — the 'full sun' motif — appears prominently above or behind the animal, rendered with radiating lines. The die-work is characteristic of hastily produced pul coinage, with bold but loosely executed strokes. The overall composition fills the flan, with design elements occasionally running off the irregular planchet edge.

Reverse description Within a dotted border, the reverse bears a linear square frame bisected horizontally by a dividing line, creating two registers. The upper and lower halves of the square each contain a line of Persian script in a cursive hand. The four segments of the inscription record the mint formula: the word for 'minted,' the city name Saray, the regnal authority, and the AH date 737. The remainder of the field outside the cartouche is plain.
