Reverse description Central field bearing the Arabic inscription طاشكند (Tashkand), the mint name, executed in a bold but somewhat crude naskh-derived script and enclosed within a partial oval or cartouche border. The lettering is arranged in a single compact block filling the available field. The flan edges are rough and irregular, consistent with hand-cut hammered copper planchets typical of Central Asian civic issues of the 17th century.
