Obverse description Four tamgas (dynastic tribal symbols) arranged in the central field, each rendered in relief as stylized Mongol heraldic devices. The symbols are disposed in a roughly symmetrical composition occupying the majority of the flan. The surface shows the characteristic crude workmanship typical of anonymous Golden Horde copper coinage of the late 13th century, struck on an irregular planchet with no border or surrounding legend.
